Default New XLT

After owning a dozen of XL trucks in my lifetime and being a poor bastard I went truck shopping yesterday. I owned a 2015 XL super crew. Found the same thing at a dealer an hour and half away. But it had some other options. 36 gallon tank ect. My two things I absolutely needed was snow plow prep and trailer tow package. It had that. But no running boards or 8" video screen. Had the small screen. Did have the backup camera. My trade did not. But looked around with the salesman and my girlfriend and found that if I went with a super cab (if I could live with it) I could get an XLT with the 302A package for exactly the same price as the XL supercrew. So I traded for the XLT supercab. Fancy. Blue Jean color with the King Ranch strip at the bottom. My last two trucks have been supercrew. So we'll see how I adjust. No small kids. Just one skinny 14 yr old that will be riding back there once in a while.
Heated mirrors and heated seats. Luxury for me.
I do have a factory set of 17" wheels for my trade in truck with cooper m&s tires on them. New tires in Dec, removed in April. Like new to say the least. Should anyone be interested in buying them. Has the wheel sensors too of course.

Nice truck. Didn't know you could get the Snow Plow Prep without HPP (which limits you to 300A in USA). If you don't need a Screw the Scab is a nice combo. Maneuverability of the 145 WB with the standard 6.5' Bed.

Looks like you got 302A + PEG. If it's a 3.5EB Max Tow it's got the 36.0 gal tank as well.

Congrats on the new truck! I upgraded form XL (STX) to XLT 302A also. Quite a difference in creature comforts.

FYI - the snow plow prep package is only a button that load sheds electronics and activates the plow relay - it can be added with Forscan and purchase of the button. Link

Snow prep doesn't do anything for suspension like it does with the Super Duty trucks.

My truck came with the plow prep package not that i'll ever use it.
By replaces standard 2-speed automatic 4WD (Lariat only) that must mean 4A and part time Tcase options that comes standard on the Lariat 4X4.
Probably because plowing snow in 4A would put a lot of stress and wear on the 4A Tcase front differential engagement clutch.
The two speeds must mean the 4A and part time options.

I go to the Boss dealer who is also a truck suspension specialist. Not pick up trucks but big dump trucks and leaf springs and the such. But I have them install Timbrin stops in the front for the plow. They keep the front from dropping only about 1". Then when I do plow I set a pallet of blocks in the back for ballast. I plow my driveway and baby the truck so the F150 is fine for what I plow.
