Tires are supposed to be their business, what they know best. They see tires every day, you chose every few years.

Yes, I just happen to still have my Toyo's on some Vision wheels. Zero complaint, I just got tired of them, and the wheels more so, and went back to the Raptor wheels.
The P285 toyos came in and I’m seeing them tomorrow. They are 48lbs and look similar to the LT tires if not the same. The LT’s are 56lbs. Any reason to go with the P over the LT’s?

A bit softer ride with the P tires me thinks.

Art is right, the P series has a much more flexible sidewall. Thing is for me, I can't get the size and P, or LT rating in the tires I want. Gotta trade off something I reckon. I don't think my LT's ride bad at all at 45#, but that's likely just me.
Those tires are much lighter than mine, of course they aren't the same size. Possibly next time I'll go with a bit narrower tire.
It did seem like when I switched from the Toyo ATIII at 305/70/17, to the Falken AT4W at 315/70/17, I noticed a little less performance taking off. That was a pretty big change though.

I have Nokian Outpost on my one set of wheels. Recommended to me by Kal Tire and thought they were great. I don't have a specific tire in mind since Open Country, Nitto, etc are too expensive. I tend to look at Coopers a lot but still haven't bought a set. Maybe when my Amp Terrain Attacks need replacing I'll check them out more. Which my Amp tires are decent, but now are getting noisy since the tread pattern is quite aggressive.
