HD Speed corrects lightly depending on pad and FK1000p gives an almost ceramic type durability to paint.
What type of buffer\polisher do u have?

Alright i looked up the HD speed. An AIO product like Hd Speed will have the ability to hide fine haze or fine swirls making it appear as the panel/section is corrected but if its an AIO it will likely fill. I am not 100% sure becuase i dont know whats in HD spped, but sounds like this is why you see results after a few passes, which is fine if thats fits ur need. I guess u can always do an IPA wipe. But if it works for you it works right.

I always do an IPA to check my work and verify that swirls are gone.

I use Blackfire SRC polishes and find they don't need that many passes, but i only use them on significant issues. I maintain (3) daily drivers so the AIO takes care of most issues, but does hide some. If you have the time and energy to make your truck perfect that's fantastic. I work nights / weekends so my available time for extended detail projects is pretty limited. My new F150 is white so it should be cake.

I find I have the energy - and enthusiasm - only when the vehicle is brand new - so I want to get the paint corrected and a nano-coating applied and paint protection film applied ASAP onto it - as I know I'm going to be doing good to even get it to the spray-off car wash every few months after that

I'm the same as you. I have found that if I can make the wash experience short and sweet I will do it more often. I use a lightweight brush on the end of a pole, soap in a spray bottle. Rinse vehicle with water then use brush with spray soap top to bottom, rinse again, then do wheels, dry vehicle if time permits. 5 minutes start to finish, faster/easier than the carwash (except in winter).

I have read all I can find about brush vs mitt vs pad, double bucket yada yada etc. Lots of opinions and theories but no comparative data on micro scratches or damage by washing too often. I am sure the wash is less damaging than hitting the dirt/bugs head on anyway.YMMV

Default Opticoat Pro Plus

Went with the Opticoat Pro+. 7 yr warranty and one day turnaround in NH. Very very happy with the finished product.

It's been about 4 weeks since I had the detail/ CQuart Finest coating and after several 400+ miles drives and some muddy rain storms. Everything sprays off the car including bugs and tar, and still feels incredibly. Love how everything just beads off the car...

Let us know how this stuff lasts. Most of these products have really high claims but few last beyond a few weeks.

Wow, I've never seen anyone with a 7yr, even CQ I thought was only two and they need to have the car back once a year. Any kind of "booster" you have to use when washing or do they give a new touch up every year?
