Anybody try to retrofit the 2021 tailgate side tie downs to a Gen 13 F150? I.e., will they fit?
Being able to tie down onto the open tailgate is a great, simple idea. I wrapped ratchet straps around it before.

For that matter, are the Generation 13 & 14 tailgates interchangeable? Or the screw on panels?

 

Never mind. The tailgate tie down cleats interfere with the exposed tailgate damper I use. I’d have to replace that first with the internal Ford damper ;(.
