Default New Owner trying to install Bed Tred

Just picked up my 2017 V8 two days ago! Im trying to install a bed tred and I cant seem to figure out how to remove the plastic bed rails. At least I think I need to as the sides seem too tall otherwise, or maybe I should trim to fit?

I got the bulkhead and tailgate parts secured, I just need to figure out the sides.

I installed my BedTread last month in my '16 w/6' bed. I took my time and made sure every corner was tucked in as tight as possible. The sides should tuck under the plastic rail caps with a little "persuasion". Mine worked out fine.

Ah ok. I must not have the bottom as far down as its supposed to go then. Maybe in the morning it will cooperate better for me. Loving the truck I just didnt want to haul much without the bed liner installed.

let the BedTred sit in the sun for an hour or so and get good and hot. It will flex better and conform to the bed better.

There's also a few YouTube videos for some guidance.
