Default new mudstar tires

I put these on yesterday. Nankang Mudstar LT265/70R17 8 ply load range E. Original size, I didn't want to deal with the speedometer off or rubbing. The Goodyears it came with sucked, they looked like passenger car tires even though Goodyear called them an all terrain. I sold the original tires for $300 on craigslist. I got the mudstars for $475 shipped from Discount tire. So I upgraded for $175, not bad at all. I think I got a great deal, I don't know if it was a mistake or a sale or what, but they are $600 shipped now. They hum a little like you'd expect, but it's not too bad, with the radio on low volume or the window down I don't notice it. I've driven trucks with BFG mud terrains and they shake and hum 10 times worse than these.

Great looking tires and truck! Sounds like you got a heck of a deal on those tires too. Enjoy them!

Did you ever consider that he might going for a different look, have different finances, or different tastes than you? Don't be a d*ck.

Looks like a good WORK truck to me, not everyone buys a truck as a grocery getter or status symbol !

Note the mount on the front for the plow...As a former northerner I have noticed that most guys up there work the **** out there trucks. To the point that they throw them away within 5 years. If I was going to buy I work truck it would be that exact same truck, I would use it as a TOOL not a luxury daily driver.

To the OP nice truck man what kind of plow you running??

It is indeed a work truck. It's not a "build", it gets used as a pickup truck. It is a cheap truck, it was only $25k, I didn't need anything more. The tires will get me places the ones it came with won't.

I have a Boss HTX 7.5' plow.

There is a douch bag in every box. Personally I love the back to black basic. I am still waiting on my regular cab xl 4x4., so I have a soft spot for your look. Should be here mid December. I will be sure to start a thread that I actually like the oe steelies. I just think they need to be a different colour which I can easily take care of.
