Default New mirror caps?

Can anyone tell me where to get new side mirror caps? I have a 17 Platinum in silver and I really don't like the "chrome" mirror caps that are stock. I'd like to find body color (silver) caps. Thanks.

I bought mine painted off eBay. They're like $250 for painted OEM caps.
Now if I could just find painted door handle pulls....

I would just buy the pre-painted caps off of e-bay if that is the only thing you need painted. If you have multiple things that need painted then it might be worth just taking it to a body shop. They can always remove the chrome look and paint over. I would imagine a body shop or the price to just buy them on e-bay would be comparable considering the body shop will have labor in prepping it for paint.

Are mirror caps an easy swap or some PITA event?

If you don't care about the old ones you can pop them off in 2 seconds. The bottom of the 4 tabs usually breaks but if you're not reusing them who cares. The new ones just snap into place.
The actual process to remove them involves removing the glass and is a little more labor intensive.

There are two methods for removal. One involves just pulling the plastic caps off which can break the tabs. The other is the more complicated method of removing the mirror and housing to replace it which runs more risk for cracking the mirror. Here are two videos for both methods.

I bought some PTM mirror caps from tascaparts.com for about $45 each. They come primed, ready to paint.
