Got into a little fender bender last month - Barely had any damage on my rear bumper, hitch did more damage to the other guys hood.. My bumper apparently had just enough damage for his insurance to cover the cost of replacing - And since I've been trying to get rid of all the chrome anyways? Took the check and put it towards something black, steel, and soooo much nicer looking.
Now, if only someone would just back into my front end.
My bumper - A slight dent in the chrome just to the right of the bumper step, not visible in this picture. Bumper step barely scratched up too. Poor guys front end. New bumper! Go Rhino BR20.5.
Looks good. I've had morons hit me from behind a couple times in different vehicles. Folks who drive sedans with plastic bumpers should be careful around vehicles with tow hitches and steel bumpers. In both cases the sedan needed a tow truck, and all I needed was a new hitch.

Exactly! To be fair, the conditions were definitely not ideal and I've almost slid into people in similar situations. Slick roads, twilight, traffic ahead of me was moving super slow so I was coasting at idle speeds - Which means no breaklights. Car behind me hit the brakes hard and pulled onto the shoulder to avoid hitting me.. Car behind him hit the brakes hard, and slid right into me.
Thankfully, I didn't have my trailer's weight distro hitch on - It's sitting in the bed because I got annoyed with th ebackup camera always beeping from the hitch. If it was on, his car would be in a much, much worse place.
