New Bilstein 6112 coilover and 5160 installed
Just installed new Bilstein 6112 ans 5160 on my 2017 SCFX4. There's been a lot of speculation over them and here they are. The rides an improvement over the 5100 and they offer a good lower cost alternative to some other higher cost off road solutions. The handling and ride is vastly improved over the "no rebound shocks " they put on our trucks'. They fit the 2015 to current Fords and can give you up to 2" of lift. The shocks have more capacity than the 5100's and as such should work better on and off road. They made a huge improvement in my ride so for you guys considering a lift or better shocks here's another alternative for you to consider. The Toyota boys have been using these for years and they love them so now we have a new product that can give us a lift and a better off road experience for the recreational user, at a more reasonable price point. The 6112 come with a new heavier spring and a larger shock body 2.40" and the 5160 are a reservoir design that allows for more wheel travel and more capacity over most unibody shocks. Hope this helps some of you guys considering a lift or upgrading your shocks on your trucks.
Here's some pics to help visualize what they look like.

Finally someone did it! Looks great. Are you up the full 2” at the front?
How are the new springs? They are designed for off-road so I can see them giving some street performance up. Is that the case?

So you just had to show me this after I ordered the 5100's for the front didn't you?
Thankfully they are more than I want to spend at the moment so I won't feel bad about not getting them.

They are installed at full 2" height. The 5100's are a great shock these are just an improvement on their performance at a more reasonable price point to some other alternatives . Antho, those pics are pretty clear but I'll try to get some other ones up..........father time prefers larger images i know I'm there! LOL

I’m only 30 and have good vision. They are all just blurry. Looks good nonetheless!

I had the 5100 on my previous f150 a 2013. So i know how they ride and yes these are an upgrade to those in many regards. My new trucks shocks sucked and and when you can take a brand new shock off a new truck and compress it using 2 fingers it explains a lot and this was with a upgraded FX4 package shock....... It's an alternative for you guys to consider. Since they just came on the market for our trucks. Given my having knowledge of them on Toyotas decided to try them. Would I recommend them YES , but like most things it's up to each individual to decide if they want or need the added performance from this type a setup, at a more reasonable cost to the more expensive upgrades out there.
