2015 f150 XLT Sport 5.0 v8.
New amp and sub install includes an Alpine m250 and Pioneer sub swx2505 10". The sub fits neatly under the seat and the small amp really puts out! Made a huge difference in the sound! New door speakers would be great later on down the road but I can live with this for awhile!

Anyway, it is a nice system once you get it dialed in right. Wanted to keep the stock head unit.

 

did you splice the wires to hook up the amp or used a third party component?

 

I spliced the wires going to the rear speakers on each side. My amp has speaker level inputs (Hi level) which also triggers the amp.I ran the power wire through the grommet on the drivers side. Grounded on the screw that has the hinge for the back seat. The amp is mounted behind the driver side back seat on the wall. The only problem is the amp seems to stay on most of the time (green light) or stays on and goes off. Don't know if it is supposed to do this. I hope it won't drain my battery. I guess I'll find out, huh?
