Default New 2017 2.7

Hey There,

Just picked up a 2017 2.7 w/ a 100k miles. Appears to have a good ford dealership service history. What mechanical stuff should I be checking first? Only issue so far is a chunking sound when I close the pano sunroof. Thanks

Oil pan leaks, mostly the only consistent 2.7 problem. If choosing to buy I'd change all the fluids and start fresh no matter what the seller tells you. KM

do a hard reset for the sunroof. There is a sequence of buttons that does it.

open up the sunroof and look for plastic pieces in the sunroof track, did a ton of vista sunroof repairs at the dealer, it's most likely broken, the oil pan leaks unless it got the new updated pan with an actual gasket then you'll probably never have to worry about it, other than that the 2.7 is the best motor from that generation imo, i hardly ever worked on 2.7's for motor issues, it was always 3.5s and 5.0s, keep up with the oil changes, every 5k and don't go over
