Default Need Some Help On Pricing!!!!!

F150 Family,

I am currently looking at a 2016 Lariat that a local dealer used as a loaner. The truck has 1095 miles on it as of yesterday. Here is the deal they presented.

Invoice = $56026.96
Selling price = $51,392.00

MSRP = $60,201.00

Please let me know what you guys think. I think they have a long ways to go but wanted to get everyone's opinion.

If it's the loaner I drove, you should work in the wear and tear of flogging it every second I had it.. Not sure how I could go through 2 tanks of gas in 1.5 days!

FYI, it's a smart truck, it just makes lots of clicking noises when you throw it into reverse on the highway.

At least have them add extended warrantee into the deal. I have no other sound advise to offer regarding the price.

Do you have a copy of the window sticker or a link to the truck? The price would depend on options. I'm guessing 51 plus tags, title and fees?

Don't know where your at, but it's going for $48,404 in SoCal on TrueCar. I usually can get them $500 below Truecar after walking away the first time or 2.

I just bought a brand new 2016 lariat with MSRP of 58700. Got the dealer down to 48500. It had 10 miles on it. Hope this helps

First of all not everyone drives loaner cars like idiots. I treat them the same as I do my own. With that low of mileage and the warranty you will have should negate those concerns.
I do think they are still about $2K high and an extended warranty would be nice if you can negotiate it. However I am guessing you can realistically get them to agree to either one or the other.

It also depends on how much you love this truck and how bad they want to sell it. I would shoot for 50k plus an extended warranty. Like Dave said above, they will probably go for one or the other but I would try for both.

It's a mass produced product, if you feel you love the truck and will pay more then someone else will, then that's your prerogative.

Don't love the truck, know you can walk, know there are other deals to be made on similar trucks out there..

Thinking again about the warranty, I wouldn't bring this up till the end of the deal. Once you ask them about adding an extended warranty, they will say sure, and show you how they are giving you a warrantee worth $3k and say you are getting a good deal. You can buy the same warrantee at another dealer for MUCH less (www.floodfordesp.com).

Get the best deal with cash off the price then buy the warrantee yourself. I would suggest to them that people flogging the crap out of it as a loaner a means to lower the price though.

Invoice, less rebates is a good starting point. Part of holdback (3% of MSRP) is nice. With 1,095 loaner miles I'd want a good portion of that holdback.

Many, many buying posts discuss same. You need to get an Smart Vincent report and see the rebates.
