Default Need help with wheel size

Hey fellow F-150 owners!

I am about 2 weeks away from taking delivery on my '16 Platinum Screw 5.5'. I have purchased a Rough Country 2" leveling kit for my truck and intend on getting a set of 20" Fuel Vapor wheels for my truck as well. What I am confused as all get out on is what type of offset will I need. I am looking to go with 20" x 9" wheels. Any help would be appreciate so I can get these on order. The hope is to be able to install all this along with my new exhaust day 1 with the truck. Thanks for all your help everyone!

What size tire you going with? Width of tire very important with new year f150's. Also do you want the tires to stick out past the fender like everyone seems to want?

Personally I don't care about tires sticking out, so I was fine with my +30 offset wheels and 305/55/20 tires. Also I got the non-LT tires to keep the weight down. If you want the aggressive look of tires far out you probably need the +1 offset version your wheels come in. And then you may or may not need to cut your crash bars depending on tire width

I would prefer to not have to cut the crash bars. I am not too concerned about the super aggressive look. I do not intend on putting fender flares or anything like that on the truck so they can stay close to where factory setup is. If anyone currently has this setup, it would be great to know if you had to cut the crash bars when installing a +1 offset Fuel wheel on a '16 F150.

I have the same wheels you want with a +1 offset, but with a 2.5" level and 33" tires. They go past the fenders about 1". There was a slight rub at full turn, so I pushed out the crash bars about 1/2". I believe if you go with the +20 offset you won't rub anywhere and you'll be about 1/4" past the fenders...that's what I've read here on the forums at least.

Thanks for the info! how hard is it to push out the crash bars? Is this a simple enough process to do if I have the truck on a hoist?

I did it with a Porta Power and was super easy.
