My information display (type 3 in manual) in the cluster above the steering wheel keeps reverting back to a screen showing information about one of my trailers every time I start the truck even though I keep changing it to something else. How can I change this back to a trip/fuel setting upon startup?

I checked the manual, but didn't see any instructions. Can someone help?

That's odd. Mine remembers where I last left it at. Do you have something plugged into the trailer harness or a light bar tapped in? I've heard those can mess with it, but no idea why otherwise.

 

No trailer attached. I used the trailer menu last week to rename the trailer. I can't see how that would make it stuck there. Like you mentioned, I thought it always went back to the last-used setting.

 

I fixed it. Had to go to another screen and select "no active trailer" even though nothing is connected!

 

Sorry to dig up an old post, but what screen was this on? I just started having the same problem. I haven't hooked up a trailer but I did bump the trailer assist button.
