Default Need Help!

Hi- I have a 2018 F150xlt 5.0. My check engine light came on the other day. My truck had shuddering/shut off. The navigation screen was flickering on and off when it was idling werid. I ended up driving it to the dealer. After waiting 2 hours I had to leave before they got to diagnose it. They said it might not be under warranty since I have 57K miles on it.

Anyway I drove it and then it seemed fine. My CEL went off. But now its back on. Truck seems to be running fine. I have codes P0600 and P0073. Any ideas on what it could be. I can schedule an appointment at the stealership but figured I would check with you guys first.

Thanks,
Joe

I would look at the AAT first. The P0600 and other issues were probably caused by the low engine rpm when it was running poorly.

P0073 – Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High

Description:

This DTC sets when the AAT sensor signal is greater than the self-test maximum.

Possible Causes:

  • AAT circuit open
  • AAT circuit short to voltage
  • Damaged AAT sensor

P0600 - Serial Communication Link

Description:

This DTC sets when an error occurs in the PCM.

Possible Causes:

  • Software incompatibility issue
  • Damaged PCM

Maybe a failing battery low voltage thing? That's a question. What about just having the battery tested, and checking the battery voltage while at idle and at a higher RPM while under load, maybe fan on high, lights on, seat warmers functioning, wipers running but not on a dry wind shield, maybe pick a few of those as a suggestion for thought.
