I bought a Husky gearbox and wanted to install it today. There are two straps that are SUPPOSED to wrap around the "seat bracket cross bar" but there is no such bar on my XL. The seat bracket faces have holes made for something, I assume the crossbar, but there's nothing there. The instructions have this photo:

Do any of you guys have this crossbar in your SCAB? Especially XL owners.
I have a super loaded XL and I'm wondering if I'm missing this crossbar.

Not an XL owner, but they are in my XLT.

It doesn't seem to be a luxury piece that would be in a XLT and above but not in an XL. It looks like it ought to be a standard support brace.

I also have it in my XLT. It seems like I read a thread here that an XL owner was missing one or both of the crossbars. He got them from a dealer. I can't remember if he had to pay.

Interesting, I have an XL Scab and don't have that either. Let us know if you did get it eventually and if (or how much) it cost. I have stuff under the seats that keeps coming out every time I stop.

I just talked to my salesman and he has never seen an F150 without that bar. He's going to check on it for me.

I just read it this morning of fords build site for the xlt. It's not on the xl.

The Vendor from this site that I bought the gearbox from has offered to let me return for refund. I may take them up on it and find another gearbox that attaches more securely than just tie down straps.
