New to the community. My son recently had a camper removed from his 2015 F-150. When camper was removed by the contractor he was later told they did not attach the backup camera harness after they reattached his tailgate. I've been under the truck and located the harness from the camera and found, what I think, is where it should connect. BUT, both the camera lead and the receiver are female. Am I missing a male cable or am I not looking in the right location? Location is to the left of the tag near the tailgate. Any thoughts from the community?

 

The connection for the tailgate harness is up near the spare tire, more towards the drivers side.

 

found the connection but they’re both female. I’m wondering if there should be a male/male harness somewhere. Thanks for responding.
