I would appreciate any comments regarding updating the Navigation software for my 2018 F150. The instructions seem clear that as a first step I need to update the Sync 3.0 software from version 3.017276 to 3.023219.

Any issues with doing that or things to be very careful of.

Also, if I wish to also update a Ford Edge with a different initial version 3.019205 that also needs to be updated to 3.023219, can I use the same update file (on a USB) or because the starting version is different, should I do another download. I expect I can use the same download but want to confirm.

I can't find specific info on Cyanlabs, but can you updated MY 2020 yet? There used to be some language saying it wasn't compatible.
