Need help! I just purchased a 2015 f150 lariat. My screen as you can see is half faded on right side for starters. The screen is like this even when it’s not on the maps view. The other problem is when I input a route it gets the directions but the arrow curser doesn’t stay on course. The navigation is also having a hard time updating where the truck actually is.

 

That is a Sync 3 system, and it did not come stock in the 2015 F150. Someone did a botched retrofit or bought a Chinese upgrade kit with refurb parts. It’s possible the small cable connecting the screen to the APIM isn’t seated all the way causing the screen issue, or the screen is on its way out.

The Nav issue is also a symptom of an incorrectly programmed APIM, or an old Gen1 APIM that is on its way out, a cheap GPS antenna, or a combination of all 3.

I’d recommend taking the dash apart and inspecting what’s back there anyway since it’s not stock. Take some pictures and post them so we can see what’s installed.
