Just bought F150 xlt. Has navigation which I like. When I plug in iPhone but don't hit apple CarPlay and press navigation, Apple maps comes up. Is there a way for the iPhone to be plugged in and get ford's navigation? Thanks

I don’t think so.

Question, when you use voice control and say something like “find a place”, does it work? If so is your iPhone plugged in the usb? When I say “find a place or find an address” the screen goes back to the home screen and doesn’t prompt me with the requested info. But it does work if I say “Sirius channel 48”. I have an appt next Tuesday to take it to the dealer. Btw I’m on 3.3.

If Apple maps come up you have CarPlay turned on. Disable it. Doesn't matter if you are on the Ford home screen, if CarPlay is running it will still go to Apple maps.

Yes, it can. if you disable carplay, then the system will behave like any other connected USB device.
