MyKey Issue...
I have a 2015 F-150 XLT 4dr with 5lt. V8. My current situation is this... I bought the truck used and with only one flip key fob. Well, playing around with stuff a few weeks ago, I set up the mykey function on that one and only key. This all being said, are there ANY ways around spending the 400-500 bucks at a Ford dealership? I did order a new, uncut key fob, the same as the one I have that is now locked out. Won't have it till later on this week though. Anyway, any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I believe you will need to go to the dealer to fix that. Even programming the new fob you will have to visit the dealer. You need both original fobs in order to program a new one. Without having one that is an "admin" key you won't be able to unlock the my key. Unless there is a way with forscan. Might want to ask in the forscan sticky thread.
A decent locksmith can cut a new key and program it, even if you only have one of the original keys. They plug in with a laptop, the system makes you wait 10-15 minutes to make the change. Forscan could do it with previous gen Fords but not sure about 2015+ F150's.
