Default My New 2015 and Initial Thoughts

This forum, along with my first test drive of a 2015 with the 2.7L, sold me on wanting a 2015. If only Ford paid you all commission .

2015 F150 XLT SCrew with 2.7L Ecoboost. 302a with the Sports Package, Trailer Brake Control, and the Trailer Tow Package. Nothing too special, but outside of wanting the Kicker sub, I absolutely love it and it fits exactly what I have always wanted ever since buying my 2010 XLT (thankfully no more chrome!).

OTD price w/ 5 year KARR security system was right around $36.5k which was about $1500 below invoice.

Engine: Absolutely amazing. I cannot believe the amount of power that is there. I drove it around for about 60 miles after driving it off the lot and got roughly 26 MPG according to the cluster. Right now I'm averaging 19.5 to 20 MPG with mixed driving including 5-6 trips up the small mountain we live on.

Exterior: Excellent all the way around. Only issue I have is how small the tires are =).

Interior: Classy is a great way to describe it. I absolutely love the all-black interior and the way everything is laid out. The whole dash area is a huge upgrade from my 2010.

Sound: I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile but I have a pretty good ear. With that said, I think the stock audio is terrific. I love the amount of bass and the overall sound. I will not be replacing my head unit but may replace my speakers in the future.

Nice looking truck. I've had mine for a month but only been able to drive it a week while I was home 2weeks ago. Loved it and can't wait to get home next week.

Thank you. Dang, I bet you can't wait. I was having issues yesterday finding reasons to be able to drive it so I just got it washed again as the dealer did a mediocre job.

Thank you for the compliment . Nope, that is just a random mountain out in east county of San Diego. I am about 25 miles south east of Cowles Mountain.

Congratulations on your new truck.

Almost everyone on here is awesome to chat with. There's so much information to be had and shared. I've also gotten a lot out of it. It helped me refine my decision on how I built out my truck as well as the endless number of mods that are out there and most importantly what they look like and how they work from an actual owner's perspective. This forum is definitely a one stop shop for everything F150 related. This forum is also, MOST definitely, a really good way to drain your bank account.

Thanks for the comments Quick! I definitely know how much this forum can drain a bank account but I have been able to resist most of the expensive mods so far. I've been a member 2012, but now that I have the truck I've always wanted (Oxford White with Sports Package because I dislike chrome), I wouldn't be surprised if I do a lot more to this one.

Nope, you didn't miss it. I didn't order my truck so it came with the 3.31. To be honest, it seems like that is the best for me considering I rarely tow. Maybe I am wrong though?

General driving don't think it makes a noticeable difference at all. I tow a bassboat with my 3.31 and it tows great.
