My key
Took my 2015 F-150 XLT to the local Goodyear shop to have new tires and new tire pressure monitor sensors installed. When I picked the truck up somehow the my keys had been set so that now the vehicle cannot exceed 80 mph, nor the radio volume turned up past half way. I only have the one key fob that I gave the shop, and the settings selections on the truck do not give me the option to clear the my key settings. The shop seems to have no idea how they could have gotten this setting selected on the truck; and they claim that they did not use the advanced settings on the truck to install the tpms. I have no idea how they got the Settings selected on the truck. Has anyone had anything similar happened at all?

They did it, plain and simple. Were they using any programming tool to set TPMS?
Only a dealer or the shop (if they did it) can now remove My Key.
This is why it's always good to have two original keys, and then buy a third key and program it ASAP so you have three originals. Two allows you to program a third, one does not. I just ordered a third key for my truck.

Here is a way to change your limited key back to admin, exploiting a software bug. This is the best method, compared to editing the as built to rip the feature out (the limited key still exists in this state). If you follow these steps, you'll actually return the key to admin state. I used this method on my '18 and was able to clear mykey with only the limited key.
Two important parts for this procedure to work. 1. Don't open the door between the steps of turning car off and turning back on. 2. You need to act quickly between turning the car off and back on. You have about 5 seconds. I think this works because during the KOER test, the modules do a quick reset. Both my IC and radio turned off for a split second during the test. Then, when you turn the key off and on quickly, there is a grace period allowed by the car where it will restart without seeing a valid transponder. This is stock behavior. The vehicle must be in a state where it doesn't know what key you are using and the associated restrictions, because of what happened during the KOER test. The mykey menu was fully accessible after this and I was able to choose the option to clear mykeys.

- Start the car and connect FORScan.
- Start PCM KOER test (Tests->PCM Key On Engine Running On Demand Self Test)
- Wait until the test is completed
- Remove keyfob from the car in case of keyless system (with engine start button). In case of standard blade key, you have to block the transponder (for example, wrap the keyfob head in foil).
- Stop the engine (turn the ignition off)
- Turn the ignition On but don't start the engine.
- Go to MyKey menu in your instrument cluster and execute Clear MyKeys option.
