Well a week and a half ago I picked up a 2016 xlt sport, had all the options I wanted, low miles (20k) and wasn't smoked in or abused...except for a little chrome accessory overkill. I had sold my 13 appearance package FX4 that morning, kinda rushed into this as wedding was the following day and needed wheels, but I love it so far.


Here she is the day I picked it up, previous owner was nice enough to have it cleaned up...


Now...I HATTTEEEE chrome, but I looked passed it...knew I could remove it without butchering the truck. Guy had every Oreilly's adhesive emblem he could find on the truck, and then went on eBay for more chrome...then ford with the Harley bedside badges...

I have since removed all but the Harley Logos..and done a few other things..

- WeatherTech Liners front and rear
-ceramic window tint & brow
-LED high, low and fog
-LED rear exterior bulbs
-Dipped side badges and rear logo
-Removed flex badge
-Forscan Bambi Mod





Much more to come assuming I don't find a lariat in my price range quickly. Planning on level the front on 2" with 3" rear blocks, wheels/ tires. Have katzkin on order and will be doing something with the headlamps soon to darken them up. Ovals were removed after these pics and I've started the paint process to get those black and gunmetal. I will also be color matching the mirrors soon once it stays warm so I don't break any tabs from cold weather.


Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

 

Truck looks great. Did you replace your chrome grille or just paint it?

 

The grill was nothing more than chrome covers that snap on, saved them if anyone wants it. I am going to probably paint it to match though
