Update, blasted the can of stuff into cabin filter area while AC was on high, it was nuts to see it get sucked in like a tornado. Time will tell if it works but for now it’s definitely fresher smelling.

Took my 2018 into the dealer for the musty smell from the vents and they ended up replacing the ac condenser and cleaning out the whole ac system. Smell has been gone for a couple months now

Is that a job that requires dash removal?

My smell is basically back just like before. I did smell sunroof mesh wind guard and it stinks a little, so I did what someone else suggested and sprayed with a vinegar mix. Even though that area smells I don’t understand how it could cause that smell right from the vent.

And if there is stuff in the coils, I unloaded a full can of cleaner so I expected at least some temporary results.

They did remove the dash. I remember seeing on the paper work they cleaned the system 3 times before replacing the ac condenser or evap core (gotta check the paper work)

Well, no smell today. Fingers crossed, hopefully I’m not updating you all tomorrow that it’s back. I sprayed a good amount of vinegar mix on the mesh.

Ozone treatment.

Still having this issue in my 2017 Screw.

Its smelly when it first comes on.
With AC on cold or heater on hot the smell goes away pretty quickly.

If the fan is on cool but no AC, it smells constantly.

I changed the cabin filter, somewhat better but still smelly.

I may buy some kind of foaming cleaner like the above and give that a shot.

I used an Ozone Generator to get rid of mouse pee smell out of one of my vehicles. It did the trick. Based on what I've seen on Youtube, others have used it to get rid of mold as well from their AC. After cleaning out the nest that the critters made in the blower motor, I cleaned what I could then ran the generator for a 1/2 hour and the smell was gone. It will essentially get rid of most smells supposedly even cigarettes. There are lots of models on you can buy. Here is the one I had purchased. It may be overkill but I also used it in the house. Like I said, there are plenty of videos online which explain how to use it in a vehicle and what exactly it does. Do be careful as this can really mess you up if you breathe it in. Also, you need to make sure that anything that causes wet carpet is resolved first.

Ozone machine is needed to remove the smell. You can get decent ones on Amazon for $75+. 30 min application and you’ll be fine. You can also look into bringing it to a Detailer as they should have everything to remove the smell.
