does anyone know if there is a difference between a borla atak muffler and catback system sound wise?

 

The Borla system would give you 3" tubing all the way back from the engine headpipes' Y collector. The muffler itself would lie behind the Ford factory 2.5" tubing midpipe. Larger tubing will give a slightly different exhaust note. The factory tubing from the rear of the rearmost factory muffler is 3" except on the NA V6 engine options.
