Default Muffler Drone

Is anyone running an aftermarket muffler with just a down tip directly off the resonator? Im thinking about purchasing a borla muffler and just clamping it on and removing the remaining exhaust pipe, but im wondering what sort of cab noise could be expected. And if anyone has the input size of stock muffler that would be great.
Thanks

Intake is 3" and exit is normally 2 1/2", but that won't matter too much if you're doing a turn down. I'd imagine there would be drone depending on the muffler configuration. You'd probably be better off running turn downs right in front of the bumper, but that's just my opinion.

I had the Magnaflow kit on a previous truck and I loved it. Didn't drone until I deleted the factory resonator. A buddy of mine had a muffler shop cut out the factory muffler and put a Borla muffler on his last truck. Sounded pretty good to me. Wasn't bad in the cab from what I can remember.

I'd leave the factory resonator on if you are worried about drone.
