I like the turbo sound just fine, but the exhaust noise sounds terrible.

FWIW, I wouldn't like the sound of a 5.0 with a straight pipe either. I'm old and it's too loud. Turn down the radio, Ethel.

Nope. But I'm not closed minded and can appreciate the work and power that's displayed.

I hate the sound of little 4 banger car with a coffee can exhaust just as much as y'all do. But that's not what we have here. I'll try to break this down into terms easier to relate to and argue some of the points closed minded people give.

"I only like the sound of V-8's. That's what God intended. NASCAR!!!!! Merica!!!"

While I too enjoy NASCAR and am a proud, red-blooded american, I also appreciate the sound and power of a Harley (only 2 cylinders), big ATVs with mud tires (most only single cylinder), and I even like the high revving sound of (sport bikes or more Likely known to you as crotch rockets).

"My daddy says there's no replacement for displacement!"

Formula 1. 'Nuff said! But I'll continue anyways. While generally true, more power is possible from a larger displacement engine, all other things equal. However; the Eco Boosts aren't the same as the V-8's. And the most important difference is they are not naturally aspirated. If you cram more air and fuel into a smaller volume, guess what, you get more power.

"I don't like it, and you can't make me. Nal na na na boo boo."

That's actually the most educated argument and I can't argue with it. You either like the sound or you don't. I hate olives. My wife loves them. She can't make me like them. But I'm also not closed minded and try new foods. I love a big thick 'Merican raised, black Angus Ribeye grilled to perfection, but I also like sushi.

BTW, I've had V-8 trucks with exhaust, had a full size bronco 351W with straight pipes, and I currently own the 2.7 Ecoboost. This is the longest I've been without doing exhaust on my truck, because I really don't like the sound of any of the exhaust systems. In yalls words, they all sound a bit too ricey. I do like the sound of the straight pipes, but where I live, they do annual emissions testing which requires mufflers.

Thanks for your time.

Best sounding option that I have heard on one of the EB engines so far. He is a member here as well. Maybe not quite what your looking for though...

That statement is rather ironic, given the maturity level of calling someone you disagree with 16.

This is like me going "What are you, uneducated? Who likes ketchup and hotdogs?". It doesn't make any sense because it'll be personal preference."

I haven't listened to any of these so i'm not sure how it sounds but I'd probably not dig it based on my preferences, but I certainly won't **** on people for liking it.

Thanks for sticking up for me, but I can handle it. I work hard and bought this truck. I'm not 16, daddy didn't buy it for me (or any vehicle for that matter), have a house, sexy wife, been around the world, seen 46 of 50 states, have a beard and do my own maintenance. I'm comfortable with who I am.

Haven't done this truck yet. Only 5000 miles on it. Even though the truck says it's still at 50% oil life, in going to change it as soon as I get home. I typically use mobil1 in my other vehicles. I think I might have to get the filter cartridge from FORD though. Not sure if they're readily available yet. Might be, just haven't checked.

I use this. It keeps it from getting itchy and its not too pricey.

Haha. Yea, different directions. I don't oil it. Just wash, condition, dry.

I once mowed my yard with the muffler off my 4 HP Briggs & Stratton. It was loud so that means it was bad *** and faster too. Letting that beast breathe!!!

Don't hate, I just couldn't resist. I too am one of the V-8 guys but I also know the younger crowd wants their identity too.

Its a sign of the times really, engines are getting smaller and the good 'ole V-8's are falling by the wayside. It's not about increasing performance as "cold air" intakes sound faster but really aren't on a stock engine and the same goes with exhaust. The restriction on stock engines are the cylinder heads. Intakes and exhaust will all flow more than the cylinder heads will allow on these stock engines.

To each his own, I personally think the whuuu, whuuu noise these V-6's make sounds lame. That's why mine is staying stock. Disagree? Come park you whuuu, whuuu sounding V6 next to my ole '78 Trans Am with a Pontiac 494 cubic inch Kauffman engine when I open the exhaust cut outs. Now that, my friend is what bad *** sounds like.
