MPG Help
2017 xlt supercrew 3.5 20,000 miles. When I first got the truck last May I was getting right at 400 miles per fill up. The computer on dash was showing about 20mpg. Since December/January I’ve only been able to get about 350-360 miles per fill up and that is with taking it close to the tank is empty where as earlier I would fill up at the 50 mile warning. I wrote it off as “winter gas” but I live in New Orleans and our winters only last about 2 weeks. Two tanks ago I was back to the 400 miles so I thought it would be getting back to how it was. The very next tank from the same station I only got 330 miles to the tank. My driving conditions or habits haven’t changed. I’m sure I’ll get the “it’s a truck/brick what do you expect” comments but it’s still a concern. Any ideas on what could be going on? Thanks
Soooo many variables it impossble to say. Fill up at same station? Bad gas? Winter fuel (I have never noticed much dif myself) ? Driving habits? Different routes?
Propperly gapped plugs?
You should have bought a prius. There I said it for those people.
We can care about fuel mileage no matter what the vehicle is. I look for the cheaper gas myself.

It's not if it's called winter or summer or spring or fall it's what the actual air temperature is that makes a big difference.. The hotter it is the easier it is to push the air out of the way, the easier the tires roll and the more gas in the tank the gage shows.
