MPG with GY Adventure AT Kevlar c rated
Curious to know the average mpg with the above tires. Either stock with truck or those who changed over to them. They seem to weigh 50 lbs each for the 275/65R18 C rated.
Have the Fortitude now and average 18.4 mixed driving currently with the 5.0, 3.55, 6 speed, but looking to get the C rating for trailer towing.
Not looking to debate tire brands, types.

My truck came with them OEM , included in the HDPP option. I get 17.5 MPG around the neighborhood, which really is a lot of short trips, usually 3 to 7 miles. If I give it a chance to leg it out, it runs right up to 21.5 MPG. Towing so far I've been doing pretty good running 11.5 to 12.5 MPG pulling the rig in my signature. With your gearing and I think you have a lighter truck it shouldn't affect much, if at all.

17.5 mpg average over all my driving. 16 Supercrew 2.7 with 4x4 and 3.55s. A lot of short tripping in there. Mine was ordered this way by the dealership with the All Terrain Adventure with Kevlars in load range c.
I've got 43000 on the tires now and no complaints. Should be able to get another 20000 put of them easy.

Thank you MNgopher. It seems both of you average the same mpg.
I expect or rather accept probably a 1 mpg decrease on average.
Not many C rated tires in 18” size.

Cooper offers the AT in LR "C" I would recommend them over the GY Wrangler. As to mileage I'm not sure you will see a difference. You know you will need to run these at higher pressure? 48 PSI is listed on the sticker of my truck. Forscan can do the changes in you BCM. I tow my fifth wheel often so I keep the pressure at recommended. Some drop to 42-45 PSI for daily use and it does make a ride difference.

My Brother tells me the C rated tire doesn't have the stiff sidewall like an E rated tire has.
I was just on tirerack.com and saw the tires mentioned by OP at a very good price with rebate and Goodyear card.
I also saw the C rated Cooper Discoverer SRX and like those as well.

I’ve run E rated a lot in the past on diesel pickups hauling goosenecks or 5th wheels, heavy loads in the bed. Even then E rated was excess capacity.
In my mind a C rating is just right. Although I have looked at the Defender LTX m/s in an E rating as the specs show it to weigh the same if not a bit less than the Goodyear. So either its light built or the GY is over built.

As a side note, I have run the P rated GY on a company Expedition for 4 years in our local road/weather conditions. When I first saw what they installed I complained. First winter I realized they were better on highway than my Cooper AT3 for ice/slush. Very secure. But different vehicles, different weights.
