Moving on
First, I want to thank all of the members and Admins in this forum. While I didn't contribute near as much as I read, this site is a great resource.
I decided to move on from my truck. Lots of reasons. Some major, some minor. However with the water leak on my feet from the steering column during the 1st week of ownership, I don't think the truck had a fair chance. 3 attempts to fix the leak, only to realize the windshield wasn't installed correctly at the factory. Replaceback window due to rear defroster malfunctionment , plastic oil pan with leaking plastic oil drain plug (that was replaced with Ford plugs & aftermarket ones), etc... . It was my first pickup truck, but it was time to move on.
I traded it in, and included the bed extender, tonneau cover, wheel well liners, front floor mats, and other add-ons. I'm happy with the price I got, only $500 less than I went in wanting (which I knew was high).
Now I own a 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Some say it isn't a "real truck", or even a "truck". That's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I didn't tow, and really never maxed out the truck bed. The F150 was my daily driver, not a work truck. Once you're a Honda person and get something else, you miss it.
I'll pop back here from time to time, but outside of this thread I probably will not have much to say. Feel free to ask questions if you're curious about anything.

Thank you for using up all the issues.

My 2017 turned ( 5 ) today, never been to the dealer except for oil changes.
( I buy the oil & filter, they charged me $ 9.00 for labor & disposal for my 9 Aug. 2022 oil change )

You'll get a bad Honda, but they are few and far between. Had a few (Civic, Accord coupe, and Prelude) early on in our marriage over 3 decades ago. They were bulletproof on reliability. Just overall great vehicles. As I've said before, I could probably get away with a new Maverick, maybe even one from the 70's given what I use my F150 for. Enjoy.
I know this is a bit older of a thread but thats why im here. I found in retirement I am not driving nearly as much and not quite as MPG effected as I used to be going to and from work regularly. So I decided its time for a truck(only really for the usefulness of the bed.) would be the way to go. I dont really haul or tow anything heavy but I also dont want a little cramped truck. I want something with some room and that also has a bed and gets at least acceptable(24 highway is acceptable) MPG.. So im looking and narrowed it down to 2 the F150 XLT 4x4 with the 2.7 (2021 or 2022 with 30K or less miles) OR a Honda Ridgeline RTL(or even RTL-E if i could find one) 2023 CPO with 10K or less on it.
Ive driven the Ridgeline its fine I liked it I tried to drive the F150 but the 2022 they had on the lot the battery was dead and I didnt want to wait for it to charge(i had about 1/2 hour before i had to pickup the wife) so sometime I will go back and do that... they all had the options i wanted(dual power seats, heated seats, blind spot monitor, the F150 of course more roomy(also good since it wont ever be carrying kids my sons 24 now) and I liked it.. dont know if the wife will though getting into its more difficult than the Ridgeline. But I didnt want to get 1 over the other before checking both out.
This would also be my daily driver(wife has a VW Atlas thats her vehicle... My current is a 2020 Subaru Forester) so I want to be sure both would do well as daily drivers.
these were the threads I was looking for to be able to think about/consider in my purchase.
