You are both correct. Maybe if it were steel instead of aluminum it could p[possibly be better, but not ideal. Anyway, I am getting custom, frame welded rock sliders next week.

They do not work for rock sliders either. Even with heavier duty ones like OEM Raptors. Rock sliders bolt to the frame.
