Default Mounting Bilstein 5160s

I just mounted 5160s on the rear of my 19 Platinum PS today. According to the Bilstein instructions - and picture - it shows on the passenger side that the shock is mounted with the reservoir on the cab facing side of the shock. But what i found was it wouldn't fir that way as the top valve on the shock to the connecting pipe would then foul on the chassis. So I just turned it and mounted with the reservoir on teh axle side of the shock. (I also trimmed back the Ford wheel well liner slightly to make sure there was no fouling on the pipe). Was i missing something on teh instructions or they just incorrect?
