Hmm not sure why they didn't attatch.

I have everything in and they seem to be working and couldn't find any connectors they would play nice with

those are dimming harnesses. They attach between your original truck plugs and your light. Do you have amber outlines or white? And do they dim without these harnesses?

2016 XLT with factory halogen. My XB LEDs with amber outlines dim with the dimming harness. I also made sure I cleared the previously forscanned setup to let the XBs work correctly.

EDIT: the harness that I received looked different to ^^, but again - I had the factory halogen lights originally.

the dimming harness was in a labeled package had two plugs on it and i used that one. The outlines are currently dimming correctly.

These were just just thrown in the box loosely

Hey guys, anyone have these installed on Canadian trucks and can comment about the DRL stuff? I am debating ordering a set of these for my 2016 XLT 302a with factory halogens, which are even worse now since I tinted them. Has anyone been noticing any issues with newer orders? Has anyone had luck finding a cheap source in Canada? Unfortunately up here in the Great White North it is looking like they are closer to $2,000 plus tax and shipping

Its going to be hit or miss depending on what batch of light they have. Some issues appear differently between halogen replacements vs factory LED replacements.

Some of the items i dont think are 100% corrected yet.
  • Passenger side fitment issues in the truck - Still seeing that but can minimize depending on how you position the housing. What i can tell, is dont use the plastic pressure clip in the third bracket hole on top of light. When i used that, the light had a gap as I couldn't get the hole to align without the light shifting,. when i removed it, it allowed me to reposition the light to fit farther back and align better but the hole for that clip didnt align. This may not be the case with everyone but I can only use the two bolts on the top of the light.
  • Passenger side turn signal intermittently not working causing hyper flash - While I didn't have that on my first passenger side light i have it on my second light. This second light was supposedly a new one they just received. Now i am waiting for my third.
  • EMI radio interference. - Hit or miss depending on location and radio station strength etc. - Harnesses are now included with lights or preinstalled which does seem to eliminate most of this.
  • Passenger side light DRL at the junction point on some lights appearing dimmer in that spot than rest of DRL or even compared to driver side.
  • Not an issue with the lights.. just how its powering the DRL for full brightness mode. The fuse that we use on the 18 trucks is tied to the same ECU circuit for ford sync/pass etc and at times will remain on for random intervals once the key is turned off. I can even make it come on by just hitting refresh on the fordpass app.

Not an issue per say but with any lights, you need to check and aim the projectors to have proper alignment

There are probably others. just some that come to mind for me.

The fuse specified for the 2018 trucks powers a ridiculous amount of things and it is alive anytime the ECU is awake if it's similar to the fuse initially specified for the 15-17 trucks.

I think fuse #15 would be better if the slot is occupied and active on your 2018 truck. I've speculated about it, but I don't think anyone has bothered to try it: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/morim...4/#post6031033
