Default Morimoto lights comparison

Hi All, might be dragging this thru the mud, but did a search and couldn’t find what I was looking for. Picked up a 2020 xlt and love it minus the amount of light the headlights produce. I was looking at the Xb or the xb hybrid. I see the xb’s are double the price but do they put our that much more light?

2020 XLT here and speaking from experience I would steer clear of the XB Gen2 (both revisions) and go with the XB Hybrids. The XB Gen2 look better and have some cool features not found on the Hybrids... BUT they have a weak high beam shutter system that causes a VERY ANNOYING light flutter when driving over road cracks/imperfections while running low beams. I have heard of no problems with the Hybrids and they are a simpler design. I'm currently "living with" the XB Gen2 rev2 til my installer gets some Hybrids in stock.

If you want more info on the XB Gen2 Shutter issue see: MoriMoto XB led GEN 2 flashing issue - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans

XB have switch back's .. XB Hybrid do not .. XB Hybrid also don't come with dual filament bulbs so they will light up parking lights but will not indicate. You will have to fix that before installation .. i found that out the hard way.

The LED's on the XB Hybrid DO NOT CHANGE .. they are strictly DRL

that being said i preferred the look on the projectors on the XB Hybrid and went with those

I have the hybrids and love 'em! I have not comparison with the XBs but I'd be the hybrids provide 90% of the performance (brightness, pattern, etc.)

2019 XLT and went with the XB Hybrids. Have not compared next to the regular XB but these things throw out plenty of light. I wanted a simpler light so the hybrid were perfect for me and they are so much better than stock halogen. Much more light down the road and on the sides. You won't be disappointed with either
