Default Morimoto HID vs LED

I recently got some ANZO headlights, but they come with halogen bulbs and that simply won't do. I wanted to upgrade the lighting now that I have the advantage of projectors, but didn't know if I should stick with LED or go for the HID. Unfortunately I couldn't find any direct comparisons except for some people who have one or the other. So I decided to test it for myself.

I wanted a reputable company, and Morimoto is pretty good. I also considered Diode Dynamics, but they've been backordered on many products, so I went with Morimoto.

I ordered some Morimoto XB Led H7 bulbs (H7 is what the ANZO headlights use) and Morimoto Elite HID H7 35w in 5500k.

I was open to anything depending on the results, but I also needed to decide what to do with the high beams. So, I decided the high beams we're going to be LED because HIDs have a warm up time, so I just needed to decide what I wanted to use for low beams. LED or HID.

For the full review, check out my video at the bottom, but the short of it is, LEDs are cheaper (a little) and much easier to install. The HIDs are more work, but are brighter. The light output between the two was surprisingly close, so you'd have to decide if the work and extra money is worth it to you. For me, I went with HID low beams and LED high beams.
