Default Installing Mobile Apps????

Ok so I'm trying to using Sync to launch Pandora from my Nexus 4. I do have the phone connected to Sync and I'm able to manually launch Pandora from the phone and listen but I can't just launch it from the voice commands?

I'm just wondering, is there some feature that I'm missing or is there an app that I need to download and install on the truck?

I've got a '15 F150 FX4 XLT I think the 501a group could be 502a not 100% sure right now.
Anyhow, based on what I've read I should have the ability to do this but it's not letting me, any help would be great!

Not sure about the app, but I think that you need to have a Lariat before option packages 501a and 502a are possible.

Is there anyway to use your smart phone on an xlt besides Bluetooth calls?

He probably has the 302a package that has SYNC with MFT. I have never used the apps on mine, so I'm not sure how that works.

Haven't tried yet but what I read is that you have to have the app open on the phone for you to use the sync.

Only real Bluetooth use I've found between phone and MFT is playing audio, and navigating forward/back or play/pause. Pandora, or whatever music app, has to already be open (at least in the back ground) on the phone. MFT can't start any app not already running from what I've seen, and sometimes the music app blocks google maps audio directions from coming through as well. The music pauses giving a moment of silence where the maps voice should be then resumes. Kind of annoying when you're not watching the map all time.
