Default Moaning power fold mirrors

My mirror motors sound terrible. Anything I can do about this? They function fine but its embarassing when other people are around.

Yep mine sounded the exact same also. I ended up washing the truck and they sounded a bit better. Wondering the same thing about maybe lubing them somehow?.

Mine sounded the same, lasted a few days then stopped making that noise. Chalked it up to the cold weather and all the dirt from the snowy roads, hasn't happened in about a month.

I should have mentioned it has sounded this way for over a year. Washed it many times over the past year, and even tried shooting WD40 up in there

Still under warranty? Take it in maybe. I am thinking about it before my warranty is up and see if they will do anything.

I would recommend bringing the truck in to the dealer and make sure to get documentation of the issue regardless of the end result. If not solved try a second time. If something fails outside of warranty you might be able to work something out with Ford showing you made a strong attempt to address the issue with two visits. I would not recommend working on it yourself before taking it in due to the risk of breakage or simply them turning it on you as you tightened something wrong, used an incorrect spec lubricant, etc. Sometimes the pros can tell. You just never know...

I've got the same issue; only in one mirror, now that I've added auto fold in the Canadian winter. Sometimes it sounds okay, sometimes it moans like OPs. I'm hoping in the summer it will sort itself out.
