Default Missing fiber cover

I have changed my oil since I got my 2016 F150 new. I remove the fiver cover underneath to drain the oil pan, then put back in place. Just went to change the oil today and noticed that the cover is not there! Last time I had it at the dealer for something was 9 months ago. I am guessing the dealer never put it back on... since if it came off while driving I think I would see pieces of it attached still... bolts still in place, etc. And probably would have heard something. No bolts. No pieces. It has been so long I am guessing the dealer will never do anything for me. I guess someone could have crawled under it anywhere and taken it also...

Should I replace it? Do I need it on there? Anyone know what it is called on parts site? What is cheapest replacement?

Thanks!

I just finished the oil change. I think I am missing more than just that panel. Was there also another panel forward of that, under the front differential? I seem to remember one there too.
EDIT: From looking at YouTube videos, it appears there are 3 covers missing... the large fiber one by oil pan, a smaller fiber one further forward, and a metal on within the forward fiber cover.

AND, I am almost certain there was a plastic guide tray that guided the oil filter oil forward off the crossmember?? That appears to be gone also. The oil from the filter just came down on the differential cover and the power steering unit.

The last dealer service was to work on the front differential and front axel. Are these all parts they would have taken out to work on that and probably never put back in?

Are these worth replacing? It does seem that there are some exposed wires and parts under where the metal shield was that could use some protection. Was the the rest (the two larger fiber covers) all sound deadening, or providing any protection?

Yep sounds like they left them off.

Just a guess here since Ford didn't ask for my vast internet knowledge (winks) likely they are to help streamline the airflow under the truck to up MPG by some %. They do help keep things cleaner too, although not sure the Ford bean counters would be that concerned about cleanliness ahead of $$$ or MPG increases.

I like my covers on as well. If it were me, I would replace the felt one under the oil pan with a metal one that comes on Raptor trucks ( here is a link to some good reading and part #s https://www.f150forum.com/f118/repla...533305/index2/) . Could they be missing because someone is stalking your catalytic converters ?

The small metal one is to protect the electric steering box. I would definitely replace that one.

Always look at the work they did before you leave a shop.

The fiber covers are for noise reduction. Your call on replacing them... the truck will run fine without them.
