has anyone replaced their xlt mirros without turn signals for ones with turn signals and if so what all do you have to do

 

Just bolt on the new ones and plug in the wire. If you have the 8-pin plug, the turn signals will work. If you get mirrors with the 22 pin plug, you need an adapter cable, and if you want to activate additional features, some wiring will be required.

 

I think its just 6 pin plug

 

I just replaced mine with 22 pin lariat mirrors. I got a 8 to 22 pin adapter. With the adapter your turn signals and heated mirror will work. You can also hookup the wires for the puddle, marker and spot lights.

 

where can I get the adapter

 

I got mine on ebay. But I would recommend looking at the ones at boost auto parts. They come with everything you will need. Mine are just temporary. I am installing 22 pin tech harnesses to take things a few steps further.
