Just got a used 2018 xlt and power mirrors only work up and down not in and out. Can hear motor running and some movement with manual help,

 

Tilt the mirror all the way up and to the inside. That will reveal two taps on the bottom. Stick a long flat screwdriver in between one and pop the mirror glass out. But be careful and don't drop the glass. You will then be able to see what's going on. I have a couple of regular mirrors if you need them.
