Default Mirror spotlights

Quick question. Do your mirror spotlights operate in direct sunlight? It seems like mine will not turn on when the dash sensor sees it's daytime, but if I drive in a shadow (the sensor thinks it's dark), or if it's nighttime, the lights work.

I just had my driver's side mirror replaced due to it constantly rattling and now I tested all of the functions again and noticed this behavior.

I read the manual and it doesn't mention anything specific about day vs night.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I'm fairly certain the mirror spotlights only work while the headlights/parking lights are on. I've tested it in my 17 Lariat and that's the way it works for me. I think your lights are working just fine.
