Default mirror spot light causing radio static?

Hi all, just curious if anyone has experienced radio static when they turn on a side mirror spot light?

this morning I was testing them (since I have recently done a few Forscan mods, making sure all is as I wanted). I noticed that the passenger mirror light causes radio static whenever it is turned on..... driver side is fine.

I never use these lights, so don't know if this has been a thing for a while or not.

truck is a 16 SCREW lariat. it was raining this morning, so im not sure if water has found a place it shouldn't be.....

TIA

Never experienced this on any radio mode; Sirius, FM or AM. Were your spotlights factory, or were they included on aftermarket mirrors?

Negative for me, never had an issue. I use my spots a lot also. One of my fav options.

What do you use the spots for?

I live in a rural area, and have remote recreational land with trials through it. I'm also out a lot at night. The side spots are fantastic in these situations. I did the mod so I can run them at will.

Life in the burbs or city? Yeah, you'd never need them.

Check it again as it could be a coincidence. Are the spots LED? If so, this is a common issue with aftermarket LED. Ferrite coils are used to eliminate the interference. Could be some kind of OEM issue there where something has come loose.

I played around with it again this morning..... it seems to do it when I turn on the right spot light, or both, but not just the driver side. Mirrors in or out makes no difference.

yes, the lights are LED.

I did notice that it only does it while the radio is on my "primary" FM channel. we only have 3 channels here (small remote town). If I change the channel (or use phone music) it does not do it..... so.... I am assuming that the "noise" is a frequency very close to the radio's FM channel I am using and might just have to live with it.
