Default Mirror Side Lights

Trying to get a feel from those that have their trucks already, what do you guys think of the spotlights in the side mirrors. I know Ford hyped how practical they would be in terms of lighting up an area. So how bright are they and anyone want to post some nite time photos.

I used my the other day (sorry no pics). It is very nice to light up the side of the road (repairs, looking at roadkill, finding something, etc.) but it disables itself over about 5MPH so not very useful beyond being stopped or moving very slow.

They are nice and bright, but the speed cutoff really stinks. You don't realize how slow 5mph really is...

I guess they don't want us driving down the road and side blinding people that cut us off. There is that safety mind set hard at work in engineering.

It would be awesome if someone figured out how to override that... possible tuner adjustment?

Not sure this is the best picture. They are pretty bright. I turn them on when I am backing into my parking stall in my parking garage.

To be honest I thought they were supposed to be work lights used while outside the vehicle.
I never would have thought they were intended for driving lights.

Out of curiosity, why would you need to use the lights while driving?

Hunting and tight roads up the mountain. I will probably be slow enough on that section to use them.

Spots on in the garage. BTW, I just found out the headlights or park lights must be turned on in order to turn on the spots.
