Mirror Caps replacement

My painted mirror caps are coming in today. Anyone change theirs by just popping them off without taking the mirrors apart?

I did on my 2011 and I have heard of people doing it to these ones too. as long as you don't want to reuse them because you will break the tabs.

I removed the primed ones from my new power folding mirrors by pulling them and didnt break a tab....

Can be done by popping them off. Some clips will likely break though. Helped my brother remove his textured one and only broke one clip. Had them sanded and painted and popped right back on without issues.

Fleabay...of all places. Turned out much MUCH nicer than I thought. Was only going to use these until i eventually got the primed ones painted, but.....lol
