mirror bolt torque spec

Default mirror bolt torque spec

I replaced the stock mirrors with tow mirrors and now have an annoying wind noise on the passenger side that wasn't there before the swap. Anyone know what Ford's spec'd torque is for the 4 fasteners on the mirrors?

Pop the plastic trim piece off and see when you changed mirrors that the foam surrounding the wires didn't get knocked in the doors. Mine seal tight around the wires, so no wind noise. You can take some foil tape and seal around any hole with the foam for a little extra protection. Sorry don't know torque spec, I'll bet it's low judging by the stud diameter.

I think you nailed it. The foam is loose around the small connector. I can't find my foil tape or tar tape since we moved so I am trying weather strip tape and see if thst does the job

Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Does anyone know were i could get a replacement M10 Nut in Canada? My local dealer is telling me it'll be around 2 weeks to get one. Or will any M10 nut do for now?
