MFT Sync Issues in 2015 Platinum
I have tried searching for any possible combination of my issues before even creating this thread, so if it exists already, I clearly need to work on my searching abilities. I am having two issues which are really annoying me and I am hoping there is someone who may have some useful information for me to try and follow.
Issue 1:
I cannot get any device to pair with SYNC. I have tried the normal method of searching for the device on my iPhone, my wife's iPhone and on another iPhone and Android I have for work, but no results are found. I also tried to have SYNC search for the same devices, but it doesn't find any results.
I read in some various search results on Google that SYNC may have issued with the iPhone 7 and the newer iOS versions with function after devices connected, but in all those results, at least the devices were able to connect, where as I am not even able to get that far.
I have reset the system countless times, with the same result. I tried downloading the newest version of Sync, but the Ford Owner website says my version of 3.7 is up to date, which I know is not correct.
Issue 2:
Truck came without a nav SD, so I stole the one out of my wife's Explorer which is going back on lease until they get me one. The issue I run into here is that it reads the SD for a brief minute, then I power the truck off and back on, and it gives me a read fault and doesn't work. Also when this occurs, it doesn't recognize anything that is plugged into the USB ports. When I reset the system however, everything works again for a brief period, and once the truck is powered off and back on, it ceases function.
I pulled out the hub and checked the connection, blew it out with compressed air and made sure everything was tight, but the issue persists.
Can anyone sympathize with these issues? What did you do to resolve? I'm looking for any help someone could provide!
Thanks,
Dominic
