i used the search and cant find the answer.
i really want a SYNC 3 in my '15, there is a user who has an entire set up but its a bit pricey for coming up on the holidays. i really want his but just cant commit.
so Ebay has a ton of sYNC 3 apims, they will program the VIN, some with nav, some without.i could care less about the NAV as i use waze and the apple car play takes care of nav.
so the question is, will the SYNC 3 APIM work with my MFT screen? or do they have to be changed together?
and it seems i'll have to get the USB socket regardless? or is this not needed?

Nope. One is capacitve and one is resistive. Which means they are not compatible. The Sync 3 screens also cost more.

And yes youll need the socket and the adapter plug for your model year

You will need to get an adapter like this AND the new USB hub (part no HC3Z-19A387-B on ebay).
