Default Maps Download

I'm guessing there is no way of using nav without the SD card inserted. I can't find the option. Seems a little silly. Can't use SD audio while still using nav.

Storage is small and cheap these days. Why not have internal storage for maps?

Of course there is always the option of using google maps for nav while leaving the SD slot open for audio. But then there are those times when you may be out of service area. In my home range, that is very unlikely but if I go somewhere with limited service it would be nice. And that's when you need nav more than ever!

Assuming you have a 2015 if you're using a SD card for maps. 2016 and newer use onboard storage for maps now. However, why not just buy a USB drive for your music. Very cheap option and you'll have the best of both worlds.

Okay, call me a dumb***. I was unaware I could use USB for my music. Will that sync with the screen and give me selections? You're correct, a better option.

yes you can put the files onto a usb stick or an actual usb drive, and Sync will read them.
