Map update 2 21
This update took my truck about 1 hour 40 minutes to install, the same as update 2 20. It rebooted twice, and on the first reboot showed the same misleading message requesting an ignition cycle as the last update (this time I knew better and ignored it). This was my second map update since buying the truck, and both were free. Wonder if all the updates will be free.

I have a 2016, and just updated sync, noticed there were nav updates for the low low cost of like $109 CAD/yr or a few hundo for a 5-year thing. CarPlay it is, I don't think I've used factory nav once.
My update took 2 hours and 10 minutes (phew) using the USB key/thumb drive. I have a 2019 and it was a free download from here...

Is it necessary to let the install happen at once? I now have the update on a thumb drive, can I drive, truck on / off and let it install over time ?? OR does it have to do it all at once? It might be a month before I go on a 2 hr trip again.
From the instructions, you have to do it all at once...
Note: If this software update is interrupted during the installation process the update will need to be restarted from the beginning. Some functions will remain unavailable until update is completed.
I wonder if someone could write an autoinstall.lst that would install one file at a time? That would be cool with the installs taking as long as they do. But I guess that script would have to have logic in it to skip over files that are already up to date, and I am not sure that logic is available.
